About Back Ignition

Back Ignition is a metal band founded by
self-taught musician Wouter Merks. In 2026,
the band will release its first demo album,
titled "The Door Punch Demos." Back
Ignition is currently seeking a drummer, lead
guitarist, and bassist to complete the lineup.

About Wouter Merks

Wouter grew up surrounded by music. His
father took him to his first concert at the age
of six, igniting a deep love for live music early
on. From that moment, he dreamed of
performing on stage. After playing the drums
for a few years, an electric guitar quickly
became his most-wanted birthday gift.
Following years of dedication, Wouter Merks
now writes, composes, and performs his own
songs, with a focus on keeping the music
pure and honest in this digital age.
